UX/UI guidelines
Since early 2022 we developed a series of Design Stories for seven vehicles in NIO’s fleet. Based on interviews with NIO’s automotive designers and engineers, these documents capture the specific qualities of the electric cars, and are the foundation for all internal and external communication.
More recently, we worked with NIO’s UX/UI team to develop a writing guideline and a tailored Tone of Voice for in-car UX/UI.
We continue to provide technical copywriting and copy-editing services, covering user manuals, brochures, and onboarding pages.

NIO EL8 Brochure
(excerpts)
EL8 at a Glance
EL8 is where performance and design intersect. The high-gloss, black roof elevates the body, while elegant detail lines on the profile give this SUV a clean, slender, and powerful appeal.
At 5.09m in length, EL8 provides plentiful legroom. Yet, at two meters wide it is nimble enough to drive through narrow city streets without compromising on excellent roominess for its passengers.
Through more than 60 aerodynamic optimizations, EL8’s drag coefficient is as low as 0.250—among the best in its segment.

EL8 has a 5-star safety design, supported by a high-strength aluminum body structure.
Mega Casting technology helps reduce the number of individual parts, and deliver outstanding tortional stiffness. This means the body will remain structurally sound even when exposed to more violent impacts.
The design is also optimized for stability, with weight being divided in a 50:50 front to rear body load ratio. This enables consistent handling.

EL8 comes standard with 6-piston Brembo front brake calipers, offering high thermal stability, low levels of attenuation (even under heavy use), and high levels of braking efficiency.
The front and rear discs are ventilated, which also helps thermal management under heavy and constant braking.
All this means EL8 stops confidently and quickly.
